Proyecto Santa María es una organización sin fines de lucro dedicada al rescate, rehabilitación y reintroducción a la vida silvestre de aves víctimas del tráfico ilegal, con un enfoque especial en especies del género Psittacidae (loros, pericos y guacamayas). Esta labor se complementa con programas de educación ambiental y promoción de una cultura de respeto hacia la naturaleza.
Desde 2023, colaboro con esta causa a través de la documentación fotográfica y audiovisual de los procesos de recuperación de los loros, así como de otras especies de aves. Mi trabajo forma parte de las campañas de concientización que buscan visibilizar la realidad que enfrentan estas aves y el esfuerzo que implica devolverles la libertad.

Proyecto Santa María is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and reintroduction of birds that have fallen victim to the illegal wildlife trade, with a particular focus on species from the Psittacidae family (parrots, parakeets, and macaws). Their work is strengthened by environmental education programs and the promotion of a culture of respect for nature.
Since 2023, I have collaborated with this cause through photographic and audiovisual documentation of the recovery processes of parrots and other bird species. My work supports awareness campaigns that aim to shed light on the reality these birds face and the tireless efforts behind returning them to the wild.
